Can a pioneer plasma turn on the blue light?
I have a pioneer plasma that wont turn on the blue light blinks… I have a pioneer plasma… Experience: 15+ years in the field. Why does my pioneer HDMI not turn on?
Related issues with HDMI have to do with the quality of the HDMI physical connections. These are mostly at the back of the top HDMI board on most Pioneer units. If you remove the top cover (side and back screws hold it on, then lift the back up, and pull up and out toward the back), you will see the top board.
Where is the enter button on a pioneer receiver?
On Pioneer receivers, you unplug the unit, fully powering it down. Plug it back in, but do not power it up yet. On the front panel, find the button marked “Enter”. Depending on unit, this may be a single isolated button or a bar type button along a line of such bars.
Is there a problem with the pioneer receiver?
It does sound like the Pioneer receiver has an HDMI switching problem. That’s not unusual. Assuming that it’s out of warranty the cost of repairing the HDMI board is prohibitive. You could get an HDMI input selector with audio extraction. Connect your sources to it with HDMI.

What should I do if my pioneer TV won’t start?
1 Power off and unplug the TV, wait 15 minutes. 2 Do the factory reset procedure [this seems to work for some] 3 Disable the TVGuide [this doesn’t seem to work for many; I could not figure out how]
What’s the problem with the Pioneer 12 blinks?
Below is what I’ve found relating to the “12 blinks,” TVGuide, and “Starting up Please wait” issue. Pioneer PDP5010FD. Unit is wall mounted, connected to analog cable (no cable card or digital cable box), HDMI is connected to a Pioneer Blu-Ray player. Power connected through a surge protector.
