Can a RCA sound bar work on a Hitachi TV?

Not quiet, but have to turn it up full to get a nice loud volume. However, if I plug in an RCA into this, and into the same input on the soundbar, it doesn’t work. Line Outs of the TV. could only be the current source. Click to expand… Does that mean that I can only use this socket on non-HDMI inputs? That seems a bit stupid doesn’t it?

The socket marked “U” is digital coax out so either connect that to the digital coax in of the soundbar or use the headphone socket below them (3.5mm stereo jack to 2 phono plugs) and you’ll get sound for all inputs. I believe there’s a separate headphone volume control within the “sound” sub-menu of the menu.

Digital coax out from the Tv connected by a single RCA lead to the digital coax input of the soundbar and that input correctly selected on the soundbar. Still nothing. There’s no option there either to toggle SPDIF on or off. Nor any extra settings area in the sound menu. Still nothing.

How to connect LG sound bar to Hitachi 50hyt62u?

Hi, trying to connect lg sound bar to hitachi 50hyt62u it is working in a fashion through hdmi1 but not fully functioning, doesn’t always switch on and fiddly to get it to work when watching a programme on firestick through hdmi 2 You can try using the coax digital output of the TV.

My hitachi AX5014BTU sound bar was working ok but now there is no sound and the remote doesn’t seem to be doing anything. even when the volume buttons are pressed on the soundbar there is nothing. I bought this product from Argos in November as a Christmas gift for my son.
