Can I connect Sonos to my AV receiver?

Sonos has a new addition to its ecosystem for connecting in your existing stereo and AV equipment, and for adding sound out and AirPlay 2 capabilities to existing speaker setups connected via an amplifier.

Why does Sonos Connect have two Ethernet ports?

The second port is simply to provide Ethernet connectivity for another device; i.e. the Boost acts as a simple switch.

What kind of audio does the Denon avr-391 decode?

What is really cool is that the AVR-391 will be able decode HD audio such as DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD natively. This is incredibly huge at this price point. For those that are in to the audio side of things, Denon hasn’t left you hanging. The amps in the AVR-391 are fully discrete and sport 75 watts per channel.

Can a Sonos remote control the Denon volume?

Then turn the Sonos volume up to about 50%, gently raise the Denon volume and see if things are better. If you don’t want to have the Sonos remotes control the volume you can change the outputs to fixed. If you leave the Denon volume up while doing this the spouse and cat may have words for you. (again trust me here)

Can a asd-11r be used with a Denon 391?

The ASD-11R iPod docking station can still be used with the AVR-391 using the S-Video into the receiver then component video out on the receiver to the TV. The remote on the Denon 391 will also work.

Can you use the remote on a Denon 391?

The remote on the Denon 391 will also work. However, this is ONLY for watching videos on the iPod, there is no on-screen menu option for the TV for browsing your iPod library, even as the 391 manual suggests in its pictures. I confirmed this with Denon tech support.

Can a Sonos connect to a Denon AVR?

*My plan was to use hook up a sonos connect to the Denon AVR. I’m unsure about which cords/connectors to use. Best I can tell my plan was to: 1) run optical audio from Line out on connect to input on Denon AVR and 2) RCA cable from Zone 2 out on Denon AVR to line in on connect.

Is the Denon avr-391 a good AV receiver?

The Denon AVR-391 is an excellent AV receiver based on its price, but integrating it with the Denon iPod docking station is a bit of a mess. I think Yamaha does a little better job in this respect – but thus far I have not been about to find an iPod docking station that integrates well into an AV system.

What are the 3 audio zones for Sonos?

Brief description of setup-with a goal of 3 audio zones: ZONE 1: Media room with Denon AVR X3400H and 5. 1 surround set up (not using sonos speakers for the surround set up). Denon AVR output to projector and outdoor tv. Cable box, DVD player, and Roku input to receiver. Sonos CONNECT hooked up to AVR-*see below

How do I connect SONOS to my pioneer receiver?

Connect the Sonos Connect via an analog input on the Pioneer -receiver, then you get an additional choice to indicate to play the music via Sonos in your main zone, zone 2 or both. With digital, this option is not available and you can only play in the main zone. Finally, you search for the Sonos Connect over the network via ‘Connected device’.
