Can I replace old sky box with HD box?

Replacement Sky+, Sky+ HD & Sky+HD 1 or 2TB boxes Sky no longer carries the older models of set-top boxes, such as the original Sky+ box; so, if you have an original Sky+ box, Sky will not be able to offer a replacement box to you.

Which is better sky + or the Humax?

If you look at post 18, you’ll see why I think the Humax is a better machine than Sky+. There are a couple of minor things Sky+ does better (eg highlighting HD programmes, mini-TV in EPG) but on the whole, the Humax is a fantastic piece of kit and I’m glad I made the move.

I confess myself a little disappointed from this decision as I have always recommended and supplied where possible Humax equipment for our Freesat installations.
