Can you cut alarm wires?

While a home invader can’t cut alarm wires to disable a wireless alarm system, there is a tactic called “crash and smash” whereby a thief could “crash” into your house via a window or door and “smash” your security system before the alarm company can be notified.

How do you unplug a transformer from a wall?

Unplug the transformer. Every panel has a transformer that runs from the panel to the wall outlet. This transformer must be removed for the panel to power down. If the transformer is screwed into the outlet, the screw must be removed before the transformer can be unplugged. From there, you can gently pull the transformer out from the wall outlet.
