Can you fix a blown out speaker?
What to Do About a Blown Out Speaker. You have two choices: repair or replace. The reason is, the speakers need to be expensive enough to warrant a repair, and that means re-coning. Re-coning means not only replacing the cone but the entire assembly including the voice coil.
Why does my speaker pop when I Turn on the AMP?
If they are powered before the amp then make sure the amp volume is turned down before you turn it on and it shouldn’t make the pop. Some amps will still do it. If the preamp is whats making the sound, then turning it down MIGHT solve it. but if the driver amp is what makes the pop, volume wont matter.
Why does my Receiver make a static noise?
Receiver makes a noise to all the speakers channels like static, very loud them by itself shut off, when receiver turn on for a brief time shows “check speakers wires ” then even without sound going like movie or music STILL makes the static noise”. Any help will be appreciated,
Why does my pioneer receiver pop when I turn it on?
Only does this when turning on the receiver, not turning off. I recently swapped out the receiver for my previous one, which was also a Pioneer (SX-680), but the other Pioneer didn’t have this issue at all.
What should I do if my AV receiver turns itself off?
Replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage and voltage (available from electronics parts stores such as RadioShack for about 50 cents a pop) and you should be back in business. If, after your fix, the receiver powers on, but then turns itself off after a few minutes, it’s possible something is physically damaged inside.
Why are my speakers popping when I Turn Off the reciever?
If you don’t you may have a small grounding issue. You can try a 3 to 2 adapter to lift the ground on the receiver AC cord. Also try another AC outlet. If you do then it’s internal to the receiver. If you got it from a store they should be able to check that it happens there too and will exchange it for a new one.

What to do if your amplifier makes a popping sound?
A good cleaning and vacuuming will usually take care of it; (just be sure you unplug the power and let the amp sit for an hour or two so that all of the power supply capacitors are fully discharged before you go opening the lid!)
What do I hear when my amp is turned on?
There is a Relay that can be heard as a very faint ‘click’ when the amp is turned on. I’m not really sure what it is connecting and disconnecting, but it creates a time delay between when you turn the switch on and when the amp actually powers up.
