Can a red RCA input be used for 5.1 surround sound?
Another option is the ARC hdmi on my tv but I doubt that’s any easier. If your reciever only has red/white rca inputs then its incapable of 5.1 audio anyway. It may have a fake ‘surround sound’ mode bit its not a real surround sound reciever.
