You can enjoy 2-ch audio in the separate room (ZONE 2) while performing 7.1 ch playback in the main room (where this unit is located). The same source can be played back in the main room and ZONE 2 simultaneously.

Use zone 2 with a pair of outdoor speakers. I would like to be able to play zone 2 while not have the main zone play if i want it off or play something different. I tried to configure zone 2 per the manual using the GUI with the surround back speakers connected.

Adjust to a suitable volume in [ Zone2 Volume ]. You can also activate the zone you want using ZONE SELECT and ZONE POWER on the receiver. You can also select source signals you want to output using INPUT SELECTOR on the receiver while [ 2. xxxx (input name)] is shown on the display panel.
