As long as your soundbar is connected to your TV, you can control the soundbar using your TV’s remote. Sometimes there are just too many remotes to keep track of. You can simplify things by using one remote to control your TV and soundbar.
Why does my Samsung remote not work with my soundbar?
What worked to fix this is to use the “Universal Remote” option on the tv to setup the tv remote to control the soundbar. It doesn’t seem like this should be necessary as all of the devices are Samsung and they seem to work together automatically but it did make the difference and the tv remote always works for the soundbar volume now.
