Can you use zvox speakers in surround sound?

No, you cannot. There is no way to integrate an amplified speaker system, like a ZVOX system, into a surround sound audio/video receiver. Those A/V surround sound receivers are made to power non-amplified speakers that use positive and negative speaker wire leads. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOUND BASE AND SOUND BAR?

What does auto standby do on zvox speakers?

All ZVOX speakers come with an ‘Auto Standby’ feature activated, which will automatically power the soundbar off after 20 minutes of not receiving an audio signal. Some televisions may cause the soundbar to turn off in the middle of a program due to a weak audio signal.

Where do you find model number on zvox?

If you look at the rear of the ZVOX system you will see the model printed on the back panel. You will see a three digit number like SoundBase 555, 580, 670, AV200 or SB500

Can a zvox learn to use a remote control?

Yes. The ZVOX system can learn the infrared remote commands of one remote control. If you go to our ‘Support’ section of our website, you will see a video titled: “Teaching remotes to control the ZVOX speaker”. This video shows that whole learning process in real time.

Where is the optical input on a zvox soundbase?

Locate the optical digital input on the back of the SoundBase. You can see it in the picture above. Connect the other end of the optical cable to this input, as shown above. It will firmly click in place. Easy enough! Turn down your TV speakers all the way to zero.

How do I connect my zvox soundbase to my TV?

Look for the Optical Digital Out connection on the back of the TV. You can see what it looks like in the picture above. Connect one end of the optical cable to this connection. It will firmly click in place. Locate the optical digital input on the back of the SoundBase. You can see it in the picture above.

How does a zvox remote control the sound?

Use the ZVOX remote to control the sound, and your cable/satellite remote or TV remote to control everything else. You can play with the different settings for surround and AccuVoice to get the sound you like. All you have to do is push the buttons.
