Does Harmony remote work with Xfinity X1?

According to the Logitech / Harmony website, it will work with the Comcast Xfinity X1.

Why is my voice control not working on my Xfinity Remote?

If the buttons on your Voice Remote (XR15) are still unresponsive, you may need to perform a factory reset. To perform a factory reset: Press and hold the A (triangle) and D (diamond) buttons at the same time for three seconds until the status light changes from red to green.

How do I reset my Harmony 550 remote?

Press and hold the Menu button (located above the Channel Up button) and the Off button together for 20 seconds. The remote screen will turn off, then turn on again displaying the image of a remote and a circular arrow. After a few seconds your remote will be restored to factory defaults and you may sync again.

Can you teach a Harmony remote to a Xfinity X1?

You are correct that the X1’s original remote is RF, not IR, so you cannot use it to teach the Harmony remote. The box will accept IR commands, though. There should be a definition for a device called “Xfinity X1” in the Harmony database — at least there is for the Harmony 650.

Can a Universal Harmony remote control a xg1v4 box?

Simply put I cannot seem to pair / connect the XG1v4 box to my harmony hub so my universal harmony remote can control the cable box. Has anyone managed to accomplish this?

Where to place the Xfinity xg1v4 Harmony Hub?

Click to expand… I have the hub on a dresser corner pointed at a nearly 45 degree angle at the cable box about one foot away. Click to expand… the dongle has to be placed in front of the cable box hanging over the top. It works like normal but if my dog or kids bump it and it moves it won’t work until I move it back. Click to expand…

Is there IR control on the Harmony remote?

Just to add to this conversation. The Harmony Companion remote itself has no IR control. The only IR control can be done from the hub itself or IR blasters that plug into the hub. The Harmony Companion is kind of a stripped down version of the Elite.

Is there a null button on the Xfinity remote?

For example, the menu button defaults to Xfinity button, but the dvr button is not associated. I set the dvr button to also be the xfinity button. Redundant, but better than a null button. I just got the xg1v4 last night and my Harmony One remote won’t work, apparently because it uses IR and the cable box uses RF.
