How to Set Up the Swann iPhone App

Open the SwannView app, and then tap the “Settings” icon to open the Device Manager screen.
Tap the “Add” button to add a new DVR to the Device Manager list.
Enter a name for the DVR into the Device Name box.
Enter your DVR’s IP address or Dynamic DNS name into the Address box.

Slow to connect to cameras or not at all for both viewing and connecting to change settings. Continually getting cannot connect at this time messages. Both Apps are slow and with the Apple App you only seem to be able to navigate out of viewing a single camera by closing the App and starting again.

Logged onto each camera interface by typing 172.16.1.xxx in a browser address bar. Default login for my Swann cameras was admin/12345. Changed each camera network setting to a static address on my 192.168.1.xxx network, or you could use DHCP if that is appropriate for your setup with fixed hosts.
