How do I connect my Klipsch subwoofer to my Denon receiver?

Using a subwoofer cable (RCA cable), connect the subwoofer to the AV receiver by running the cable from the receiver’s subwoofer output to the subwoofer’s line input. Klipsch subwoofers can be connected via the LFE channel, the white RCA connection, or in a stereo pair by using both the white and red RCA connections.

Why does my Denon subwoofer not work in stereo?

You will have to leave the Denon in a stereo set up from the audio settings, think it’s the green button on the remote. If you use Direct or Pure Direct or have the speakers set as large then the sub will not be active from a stereo signal. @zapp brannigan Welcome to the Forum.

Can a Denon 2113avr use a subwoofer?

The manual isn’t clear but it might well be the case that direct mode will not use the sub. It does say that regular stereo (i.e. not direct) mode will output to the sub as well though. Failing that I would guess you will need to connect to a TV and bring up the speaker configuration menu unfortunately. I have a Denon 2113AVR which works well.

Where does the subwoofer go in a receiver?

Solution: Make sure that the subwoofer, or “sub out”, channel is enabled/active within the receiver settings. Solution: Check to see where the subwoofer is plugged into on the back of the receiver. It needs to be plugged into a dedicated subwoofer, or “sub out”, channel.

What to do if your subwoofer is not working?

Here are some additional common issues and solutions for troubleshooting powered subwoofers on the receiver’s end. If you are experiencing issues with your subwoofer, you should first check to make sure the subwoofer itself is in working condition.

Why is my subwoofer not connecting to my Receiver?

Solution: Check the type of cable that is being used to connect the subwoofer to the receiver. This should be a “shielded” subwoofer cable or RCA cable. If there is an audible gap of no bass between where the front speakers’ low end stops and where the subwoofer starts, then the crossover is likely set too low.
