Can a Yamaha yas-108 be used as a TV?

The ARC feature is not working properly. I connect the HDMI cable to HDMI3 on the TV and to the HDMI out on the Yamaha YAS-108. Anynet+ is also enanled on the TV. The TV will turn on the YAS, and also turn it off. However, I cannot hear any sound at all. Any suggestions? Solved! Go to Solution. 04-30-2020 01:31 PM in

What’s the problem with my Yamaha sound bar?

Turning to the internet, there was absolutely no support or information on this problem for this Yamaha HTY-750 soundbar model. Where is the capacitor on a Yamaha sound bar?

The capacitor is in position “C515″ on the power board and is actually labelled pretty clearly, so if you can get to the board in the first place, you’re not going to find it hard to spot the offending component. Why does my sound bar have no sound?

Just no sound. Make sure that the soundbar input is correctly selected. The housekeeper would have had to press one button on the soundbar remote to mess that up. Make sure that the ARC or optical out are turned on in the TV menu. The TV speakers may have to be turned off and the audio output type changed.
