How do I get my laptop to play through my surround sound?
Go to the Playback and select your playback device that is capable of outputting 5.1 sound. Keep in mind that the name might vary according to your soundcard. With the speakers selected, click on Set Default and then hit the Configure button. In the Speaker Setup window, select 5.1 Surround and hit Next.
How do I connect my 5.1 surround sound to my computer?
Connect the sound cable with black connectors into the Rear Speaker Out port on the back of the computer. Plug the other end of the cable into the black port on the subwoofer, next to the green port. Connect the sound cable with orange connectors into the orange Center or Digital Out port on the back of the computer.
