How do I turn my soundbar into surround sound?

Here are the things you will NEED to have in order to add surround sound speakers to a soundbar:

  1. Soundbar with an AUX, RCA, or Digital Optical input.
  2. A 5.1 channel audio/video receiver that has pre-outs for the front left, front right, and center channels.
  3. A mini stereo mixer with at least 3 inputs and a single output.

How do I fix my surround sound not working?

Go to the Playback tab, select your 5.1 surround speakers and click on Properties. In Speaker Properties, go to the Enhancement tab and uncheck the box next to Disable all sound effects.
