How does 48VDC work on Ademco Security Panel?
A typical plain old telephone service (POTS) coming into a house provides 48VDC and is used by a headset or modem to modulate the current on the line to transmit the audio information. Since you are directly connecting the modem to the panel you have to add power to the line for the modems to communicate.
How to connect Honeywell modem to Ademco Security Panel?
Click the connect button in the Honeywell compass software and the modem will connect to the panel. See my video below for what this sequence looks like. In this video I already entered in the installer code + # + 1 into the keypad.
How to install the compass Ademco Security Panel?
