How does a Lorex security camera system work?

The connections each system uses follow general patterns to make the installation process easier. Lorex offers several types of security camera systems: Connect the Lorex Home Center and Wi-Fi cameras to a power source. Doorbells and Floodlights use existing wired connections for power.

What kind of PoE switch does Lorex use?

Lorex offers two types of PoE Switches: standard PoE and PoE+. Standard PoE switches support 15-watts of power while the PoE+ switch will provide 30-watts of power. This additional power is typically required to control the PTZ functions of cameras.

How does a Lorex camera work in night mode?

Lorex security cameras feature IR cut filters, allowing the camera to automatically switch between color daytime video and black & white IR night vision. You have the option to override this automatic switch-over in order to keep your camera in night mode at all times.
