Is the Kenwood ts-440s a good radio?
My personal opinion of the TS-440S is that it’s one of the best radios that was ever built. The audio is superb, the VFO is wonderfully stable, and the antenna tuner works like a charm. It does everything one needs a radio to do, without a lot of unwanted / meaningless features.

Connect the exciter’s RF output to the “RF IN” connector on the rear of the AL-80B with 50ohm coax. Use any good quality 50 ohm cable long enough to connect the amplifier to the exciter.
