How long should my Onkyo 727 Network receiver last?

The 727 was supposed to be a ‘network’ receiver and at a minimum I should be able to control the receiver via an app on my phone. That connection has worked about 40% of the time. The best times to get it working are after a complete power cycle at the power strip level. Then the app seems to work for a few days.

Why does my Onkyo tx-646 not turn on?

Perhaps a newer Yamaha that is HDCP 2.2 compatible for future use. I’m having this same problem with my Onkyo TX-646. The receiver no longer turns on when I turn the TV on and other issues. I now have to have the receiver connected via optical cable for it to work.
