Why does the Samsung k950 sound bar not decode DTS?

Apparently it was a cost issue, buying the rights from Dolby, so in order to keep the costs down – and hence sales price – Samsung has so far opted out of purchasing the rights for DTS in this soundbar – as I understand it.
