We will replace, not repair, your product if you purchased a Product Replacement Plan. Under a standard Geek Squad Protection Plan, we may also replace your device, at our discretion, if we choose not to repair it or otherwise provide you with store credit.

That work, if you are not covered by mfg warranty or service plans (aka extended warranty), will cost a deposit up-front plus the cost of repairs. However, the in-store services do include diagnostic tests on the hardware, e.g. benchmark tests, to determine the integrity of your computer’s hardware.
