How to reset Optima XL6 alarm control box?
Try the code 0123 Power down again and check all fuses inside on the main board… If no luck then we may need to do an Engineers reset… We may have to default the panel and reprogram from scratch…
How to de-activate Optima XM alarm control panels?
I have just moved into a new home and have Optima XM alarm. I am trying to de-activate the alarm as I need to switch the electricity supply off in the house but alarm keeps going off everytime I do that.
Why is my Optima XL6 not working properly?
The XL6 is quite an old panel and had a common fault from age whereby the membrane which connects the key pad to the circuit board would start to “burn” and the result could be fals activations and eventually where the code wasn’t recognised or just unable to set.
Is the Optima XM alarm still working after power outage?
That’s why everyone has given you the advice they have. No, it’s NOT designed to do that and it’s NOT working fine. It should continue to operate 100% normally through a power outage of several hours (maybe even days) on its batteries. That’s why everyone has given you the advice they have.

Why is the control panel on my Optima XM not working?
Following a power cut the other day the Optima XM control panel is indicating an alarm on zone 4 (one of the downstairs rooms – PIR). The keypad on the control panel will not respond at all even if the power indicator is satisified.
How to bypass the bell tamper on an Optima XL6?
To bypass the bell tamper put a link between T and A on the pcb-leave existing wires in also, they’re all labelled up. Obviously this may not sort the fault if something else is causing the issue. Be aware that there is mains voltage inside the panel. I know it’s one of those 26 letters! Thanks all, just seen the replies and just taken picture.
