Is it normal for boys to wear briefs?
All the boys (except for one) wears Boxer Briefs or Trunks. The “only one who doesn’t” wears normal briefs. This is an old question, but “normal briefs” haven’t been “fashionable for men in many years. In our early teens, things need more room to move around during the day.
Is it bad for boys to wear briefs?

Why do guys not wear briefs?

It’s quite rare to find teenage boys, young adults and even men in their 30s, 40s, 50s etc. who wear briefs, I definitely think briefs are slowly dying out. As a swimmer, I’ve spent many hours over the years in changing rooms and even a lot of older men now wear boxers.

Boys tend to begin to show signs of being prepared to start wearing real underwear around 18 months (a year and a half) to 24 months (two years). But some boys are late bloomers and that is a-okay. Some boys are ready to wear underwear around three years old. There is no rush to potty training.
Why do boys wear briefs instead of pants?

Admittedly less so than in times past, most boy’s activity level (hence injury-prone behavior) is higher than girls of the same age. Wearing briefs (which is probably the best for the age) does seem to protect from injury and disease in prepubescents.
