When do you use all caps in a text?

The blocky letters kind of mash together and become hard to read when used for regular text…and that means readers might skim over the very thing you meant to emphasize. All-caps isn’t just used for shouting, though. Many authors use capitals to call attention to a word or phrase in the text that they want readers to pay attention to.
