Is the Denon AVR 3806 on auto settings?

(I also have the scart direct to the sony on AV1 and the 3806 is connected to the Sony via HDMI to AV6) I don’t know your settings but have you assigned the correct inputs to the right function in the imputs menu? Click to expand… I have definitely got the opt 1, opt 2 settings correct. is on auto ?

Why does my Denon AVR not work on my TV?

If you have Dolby Digital set to ON on the cable box, but your TV cannot accept Dolby Digital audio (many cannot), there will be no audio passed to the TV, rather you would have to set Dolby Digital to OFF on the cable box. Why is my Denon HDMI audio passthrough not working?

Audio passthrough doesn’t work when the avr is in standby mode. If you have Dolby Digital set to ON on the cable box, but your TV cannot accept Dolby Digital audio (many cannot), there will be no audio passed to the TV, rather you would have to set Dolby Digital to OFF on the cable box.
