Is the Niles SS-4 compatible with all amplifiers?

Separate left and right ground paths for compatibility with all amplifiers, including Bridged designs Removable Screwless connectors accommodate up to 14-gauge wire. Rugged all metal chassis construction.

Can a Niles volume control be used in the kitchen?

Using with a Niles volume control in the kitchen, so normally have both sets of speakers connected and turned on, then manage kitchen volume with the volume control, but can easily turn off the great room speakers if not needed. Definitely a must have if you’re thinking about adding multiple sets of speakers to same zone in your system.

Can a Niles SS-4 be used in Zone 3?

I am using this Niles SS-4 to further split Zone 3 to drive speakers in my Gazebo and Family room. That is, I can play Zone 3 in the kitchen, family room, and gazebo in any combination (e.g., any one or two or all three) with the option of adding another zone since the SS-4 allows up to four.

What are the niggles of a Niles speaker?

My niggle is how small the connections are and how close together Niles puts them. If any of the little wires making up the cable spread even a little, they touch their neighbors because the wires are so, so close together.
