For starters, the TX-NR717 replaced an Onkyo TX-DS777 that I bought exactly 12 years ago. The 777 has been and still is a fantastic receiver, aside from idiosyncrasies due to it being outdated (more details below).

Where are the pre out and sub pre out jacks?

The Pre-out RCA jacks on the back of the receiver only output signals, not actual power. The red/black speaker jacks are for connecting speakers to it. The Sub Preout is for connecting to only a Powered Subwoofer.

For the equipment you have listed you wont have a need for mulitchannel analog inputs. This older Pioneer reciever has preouts on the right above the speaker terminals, while the multichannel inputs are on the left of the speaker terminals. Thanks people!
