Is the Yamaha rx-360 AM / FM receiver Dead Silent?

I also noticed when the volume is up high there is a noticeable hum, after the 24 mark on the volume it gets louder, strange thing is on the tunner amp side is dead silent, only in Aux and CD mode makes the noise. there is no fix or any info about this as there is so little info on this deck in particular.
