Less obvious things for a timer is putting a timer on things that you use around the same time every day. Why? Because many of these devices keep on running throughout the entire day when no one needs it, and some of them use a lot of electricity.

How do you set an Intermatic timer?

Setting Up an Analog Intermatic Timer Open up the door on the timer’s enclosure. Rotate the clock so that the large arrow points to the current time. Loosen the “on” and “off” arrows with your fingers or pliers. Slide the “on” and “off” arrows to the times you want them set at. Tighten the knobs on the “on” and “off” arrows with your fingers.

What is a wall timer?

An Intelligent Wall Timer is one that uses a technology (such as Insteon) to schedule on/off times to control one or more devices on the same network. Additionally these timers can often be remotely programmed from another controller on that same network. Programmable Wall Timers.
