What are the best sound settings for a Yaesu ft100?

Gary Mitchelson, N3JPU, has done some interesting tests with the AM settings and found some settings that work much better than the defaults. The parameters that sound the best are: PO set to 25, Mic gain to 40 to 50 and Carrier Level set to 225 (F51 menu).

Is the Yaesu ft-757gx a backup radio?

I recently got a Yaesu FT-757GX to use as a backup radio for the shack. The previous owner said it has no RX audio on any other modes except CW, but the TX was fine and the S-Meter was moving on all modes.

Why does my ftdx 3000 not go into memory mode?

Going into 60 meter mode sometimes doesn’t work. The manual says to make sure your vfo b is not on…… Well it wasn’t. When I entered Memory mode vfo a on display turned off but my 40 meter freq on display never changed. Pressing the MCH/grp and rotating the vfo b knob cyled through memory but main freq remained un changed ??? !!!

Is there a problem with my ftdx radio?

I have seen this problem multiple times. When powering down the radio when the usb cable was connected to my computer. When powering back up at a later date with no usb cable connected the tx led blinks and I can no longer operate the radio from the front panel transmit wise.

Is the Yaesu ftdx9000 the same as the FT-2000 / D?

Time Owned: 0 to 3 months. Some time ago I used the Yaesu FTDX9000 Contest. The receiver is the same as the Yaesu FT-2000/D. Identical. The difference is only with the u-Tune. Perhaps for this reason the Yaesu was to reduce the selling price. However, the “master commander” remains the FTDX9000/D model, full optional.

Is the audio input on the Yaesu FT 950 balanced?

All of the new Yaesu series 9000, 5000,2000 3000, 1200 and the FT 950 have a balanced audio input on the audio board but Yaesu does not use it. They unbalance that 8 pin round mic connector input with their typical Pin 8, pin 7 connections. Sad.
