All installed transmitters regularly test the status of the battery and transmit it to the panel. In the case of a “low battery” warning on the panel, a corresponding message (LED, text, voice message) is enabled. The low battery warning does not immediately cause the transmitter to shut down.

Flat external siren battery. Alarms need maintenance, wireless alarms need batteries. Unlock paddock on keyfob will silence for 4 hours or if you home set it the default setting will not beep. On that panel if you do a successful arm disarm it clears. Hate the stuff personally.
