What happens when Arlo loses WiFi?
Netgear’s Arlo Pro is a great example. You can plug a USB flash drive into the base station to record video locally, and whenever your Wi-Fi goes out unexpectedly, your Arlo Pro camera will still record whatever it needs to but will save it to the USB flash drive.
Where are my Arlo recordings?
All Arlo video recordings can be stored to the cloud, but you can connect a USB device to your Arlo base station or SmartHub for a second location to store recordings locally. Note: Only automatically triggered recordings are saved locally to the connected USB device. Manual recordings are only saved to the cloud.
Why is my Arlo base station not connecting to the Internet?
The middle LED is the Internet connectivity LED. If the Internet LED is solid green ( ), the base station is connected to the Internet. If the Internet LED is amber ( ), there is a problem with the Internet connection. Check the Ethernet cable.
Why does my Arlo camera keep disconnecting?
You can place your Arlo camera a maximum of 300 feet (90 meters) from the base station. If your camera is farther away from the base station, it might be connecting and disconnecting because of the distance from the base station. Note the number of walls between the camera and the base station.
How do I connect my Arlo smarthub to the Internet?
To connect your Arlo SmartHub or base station to the Internet: Connect the SmartHub or base station to your router using an Ethernet cable. Connect the power adapter to the base station and plug it into an electrical outlet. Turn the base station on by pressing the On-Off button.

Why does my Arlo pro keep going offline?
2016-11-20 06:46 AM I bought the Arlo Pro 2 camera system a week and a half ago. One camera has worked perfectly and the other keeps going “offline” once per day, usually during the overnight hours. Battery also drains very fast in this same camera. Both cameras have full wifi signal strength and are only about 75′ – 100′ from base station.
How many LEDs does an Arlo base station have?
Newer Arlo base stations have a single LED, while older base stations have three or five LEDs. If you are not at the same location as your base station, launch the Arlo app or log in to your Arlo account at my.arlo.com: If you can review the video feed from each of your Arlo Wire-Free cameras, your base station is connected to the Internet.
