Initially, try a soft / hard reset to re-initialize the microprocessor. switch OFF unit and unplug from the mains for a couple of minutes; or power ON the Onkyo TX-SR502; press & hold VIDEO 1& STANDBY/ON buttons simultaneously; display should show “CLEAR”; unit would go into standby mode;
