This function corrects the playback level of the selected input source’s audio input. Make this setting if there are differences in the input volume levels between the different sources.

In theory, raising all of the channel trim levels equally is the same thing as just increasing the master volume. But, absent a specific issue with a channel, such as wanting the CC louder, I would leave the trim settings where Audyssey put them, or where your AVR put them, if that particular Denon model doesn’t have Audyssey.
