What kind of speakers does Onkyo TX sv515 use?
I used B&W 4 ohm speakers with it and the receiver showed no sign of overheating. This receiver is now used in another room as part of a music only system for listening to background music etc etc. I decided to go with the Yamaha the second time round due to fally build and sound quality of current Onkyo products.
How to connect Onkyo reciever to Smart TV?
The receiver has an optical audio input. Connect them with a toslink optical audio cable. Turn the optical output on in the TV menu. You will probably have to set the output to PCM stereo and may also have to turn the TV speakers off to get it working. You must log in or register to reply here.
Is the Onkyo 717 a good stereo receiver?

Is the Onkyo ts-676 a Dolby Digital Receiver?
Looking hard at a Dolby Digital receiver ie., Onkyo TS-676, Integra DTR-6 or Marantz SR-7000 depending on who’s got a good deal. In the meantime, the old Onkyo is very quiet, a little warm with my Paradigm Titans and Atoms, Velodyne sub.

Can a Samsung Galaxy S5 connect to an Onkyo receiver?
New Not sure if it is even possible or not. Unfortunately you cannot directly connect your Samsung Galaxy S5 to TX-8511. There might be a way to connect an external Bluetooth receiver to this unit, but there isn’t an “auxiliary out” on the back… although you may be able to connect it to the CD output.
Is there an Onkyo app for the iPhone?
This is the official Onkyo app for the iPhone, iPod Touch. You can stream from Internet radio, a DLNA-compatible server, or play any local music stored on your iOS device.
