What should I do if my CB antenna is wrong?

The whole purpose of an antenna stud is to isolate the antenna from ground. When the nut or bolt contact the mount, this fails. To test for an incorrectly installed stud remove the CB antenna and disconnect the coax from the stud. Use a multimeter to check for continuity between the antenna coupling nut and the mount.

Why do I keep getting interference from my antenna?

Metallic surfaces near your antenna can cause interference with the digital signals and block your reception. For example, if you place your antenna in a window but there are metal burglar bars or a metal bug screen just outside the window, this could cause issues.

Change the location or elevation of the antenna to see if the problem persists. Problem: The picture isn’t clear or I see snow (fuzz). The TV might not have a built-in ATSC digital tuner.

Why is there interference with my OTA antenna?

Even if it’s not directly in front of your OTA TV antenna, overhead power lines leading to your house or high-tension lines in your backyard can reflect signals from broadcast towers, decreasing your antenna’s capacity to clearly ‘see’ the signals. Traffic from nearby LTE cellular towers can also create invisible interference.
