When I turn on my PC it shuts down?

A faulty power supply can result in not enough, if any, power getting to the motherboard, causing the computer to shut off immediately or not turn on at all. In the event of a bad power supply, the only remedy is to replace it with a new one. Fixing a power supply is not an economical solution, if possible at all.

Why did my PC randomly turn off?

Generally, when a computer powers down on its own it’s due to the power supply, malware, overheating or driver issues.

How do you fix a power supply problem?

Plug the PSU power cable into a wall socket or surge protector, and turn on the computer. Most power supply models have a light on back of the unit that glows when it’s powered on. If it doesn’t light, try a different power cable and a different socket to eliminate those items as the source of the problem.

Why is my equipment dropped or rebooted while connected to..?

If PowerChute is installed and not configured properly or running, any activity at the Server/Workstation communications port could send a false signal to the Smart-UPS thus causing it to shutdown and reboot. In addition, a serial cable connected only to the UPS, with the other end not connected to anything can also cause false shutdown commands.

Why does my ups turn off when I change state?

A change of state causes the UPS to turn off. With either type of connection it is important to ensure that wires are firmly connected and that EPO connections are not being run in parallel or daisy chained. Each UPS must have its’ own pair of wires running back to the EPO switch.
