Where should a subwoofer be placed on stage?
It’s pretty common for most bands to place their subwoofers on either side of the stage, and that always seems to create heavy bass in the center. Whenever possible I prefer to line the subs up across the front of the stage, and when the stage is high enough, stack them 2 high across the front.
Can you use a normal speaker as a subwoofer?
A normal speaker is not capable of producing low-frequency sound emission and hence, cannot be used as a subwoofer. Given the subwoofer’s unique purpose, a normal speaker cannot replace it. You can use a woofer to achieve low bass tones, but even this does not compare to a sub.
