Why does my amp go into protect mode when I turn the volume up?

If your car amplifier goes into protect mode when you turn up the volume high on the car stereo its usually because of voltage drop. Basically when you listen to your car amp at high volume levels it goes into protection mode because there is not enough power from the electrical system to chuck at it.

Why does my amp keep cutting out at high volume?

The most often reason for speakers to cut out at a high volume is either issue with an amplifier or a problem with the crossover settings. Also, speakers that are not designed to handle a high volume can cut out often when overpowered. Once you know where the trouble lies, you should be able to fix it.

You’ll typically disconnect the amp from the head unit and the speakers to see if the problem still exists. If the amp remains in protect mode at that point, there may be a power or ground problem, or a problem with the installation where the body of the amp makes contact with bare metal.

Why is my JVC radio in protection mode?

“Protection mode” usually indicates a problem with the speakers or speaker wiring, or possibly the amplifier.
