If a previously paired device is nearby, it is possible that it automatically connects to it hence disconnecting your Bluetooth speaker. To solve this, make sure to clear the memory of the previously paired devices or pairing list from the Bluetooth settings of the smartphone and then reconnect Bluetooth speaker again.
