Why does my Onkyo ht-r380 not work?

When I press SP A/B (whatever that is) on the remote it’ll switch and one of the options the two rears work fine, but the front two stop working, ahh! Okay, got the pass through working – seems it does work but only with the last used item… better than nothing I guess. Anyone, please? Otherwise I’m going to offer it to a friend ;_;

I’ve got the HT-S3305 Kit and absolutely bloody hate it – it sounds bad (from a brief test run on FIFA – it almost sounded like the commentary was distorted), the rear speakers don’t work and it doesn’t pass through if the thing is turned off. Ah.
