Why is the O2 Jack not working on my pioneer?

The receiver should be defaulting back to “A” because that is “Analog” which is what those Red and white cables are from the cable box to the receiver. O2 is the “Optical 2” jack, and you’re not using that connection, so what’s happening is the receiver is searching for an audio signal from the Cable Box and not finding one.

What to do if your pioneer amplifier keeps turning itself off?

If it appears to operate normally, reconnect one speaker at a time, testing low and high volume levels before adding more speakers. If the amplifier still keeps turning itself off with no speakers, take it to a repair shop. Pioneer will have information on their website as to the locations of their authorized service centers in your area.
