I have a Pioneer DEH-2300UB CD car radio bought new from Argos. Installed and appears to be working fine except I cannot turn it off when the vehicle is running. The manual simply says “press and hold the S (SRC/OFF) button until the unit turns off. Tried that and nothing happens….it stay’s on!

If you don’t have a meter to check resistance of your speaker wire you might try disconnecting one speaker at a time from the receiver and see if the problem persists. This could lead you to a short in one of your speaker wires. Is you receiver in a cabinet that could cause heat to shut it down.
