Why does my radio cut in and out?

There may be a break, weak point, or loose connection in the wiring between the SiriusXM antenna and the tuner. Or there could be the same issues in the wiring between the tuner and your stereo. This can affect the sound quality and it may cause the radio to cut out often.

What to do when your pioneer receiver shuts off?

The Pioneer receiver and the Panasonic TV are the real clues here. When turning off one turns off the other, it comes down to a setting in each: In the Pioneer HDMI menu, turn off control. In the Panasonic Viera Link menu, turn off control (both power on and power off). This will solve the issue.

What to do when your home theater receiver keeps shutting down?

Disconnect one of the speaker wires from the back of the receiver. If it shuts down again then disconnect another one. Keep doing this until it stays on or you run out of wires to disconnect. Also, make sure all speakers are set to Small in the setup menu and the crossover to 100 or higher regardless of what speakers they are or how big.

Why does my Yamaha receiver keep shutting down?

Yamaha receivers (like many) will shut off/go into protect mode if there is a short or if a speaker is not properly connected. And, as Robert noted above, they will also shut down if there is not enough available current to properly power the amp during loud passages. You need to determine the reason your receiver is shutting down.

Why does my TV receiver shut off when I turn it on?

The receiver has a protect circuit, which senses DC pulses on the input. When DC is detected, it shuts off to protect the receiver. When you turn the TV on, it senses the DC pulse on the input. It protects, as it was designed to do. Nothing wrong. Turn the TV on first, receiver second, or change the design of the receiver. Thanks for your post.
