Why is my Amcrest DVR beeping?

Why does my DVR/NVR constantly beep? This usually indicates that a Hard drive (HDD) is missing or not connected properly. This can be disabled within the local UI of the DVR. If you have already installed your hard and experience beeping, please verify all connection is securely connected.

Most security system transformers will look something like this. Every alarm system has a transformer that plugs the security system into a standard AC wall outlet for power (see above). If that transformer/outlet connection is loose, though, your system will lose power (and start beeping to let you know).

What should my power supply be for my CCTV?

It is recommended to use a power supply with 80% of its maximum capacity to avoid any overload problems. When the system is turned on, there is an initial peak current that can compromise the source if it is too close to the full capacity.
