Hitron CODA-4582: The modem will not be able to access the Internet without completing Easy Connect for the first time upon bootup or factory default resets. If you have a device wired directly to the modem you can complete Easy Connect without connecting to WiFi first.

You can factory reset any of the modems by holding a toothpick or pin or something firmly into the pinhole for about 45 seconds. The modem will then reboot; once it’s back up you should be able to log in with the default info. That goes for any of the Rogers gateway combo modems, not just the Hitron ones.
