Why is my pioneer ddj-sb3 not working?

I just got the DDJ-SB3. I downloaded serato dj lite and plugged my controller in but I couldn’t get any sound from speakers or headphones. I checked all the volume knobs but nothing was working.

FX FADE worked incorrectly when DDJ-SB3 was connected to Serato DJ Pro. The LED lights lit incorrectly when Serato DJ Lite/Pro was launched or closed. This firmware is a system software program for your DJ CONTROLLER. Please update the firmware to the latest version to enhance the product’s performance.
