Why is my pioneer vsx-1019ah not working?

To the OP – if you don’t need to listen to a different source on the patio than what you have in the main room, you could set those speaker jacks to “Speaker B”. Jeez, they scatter the multi-zone info all over the place. No wonder it’s so difficult. I know what I’m looking for and it took awhile to find.

Where are the Zone 2 speakers on the vsx-1019ah?

I have the patio speakers connected to the Zone 2 speaker connections on the receiver, which are the Back Surround Speakers. I have selected Zone 2 in the Receiver on screen Menu for the Back Surround as well. So, those bases are covered.

Why do my speakers buzz when I Turn On my TV?

Try a different speaker in the center position. If that one doesn’t buzz your other speaker is probably bad. Thanks for the suggestion. After disconnecting the speaker wires to the center speaker, the buzzing moved to a different speaker.

What’s the arc channel on a pioneer receiver?

Any help greatly appreciated! ARC is audio RETURN channel. That is for bringing audio FROM the TV back to the receiver. That option will not affect your issue. What you need to look for is an option in the receiver to output HDMI to the amp or passthrough to your TV.

What’s the signal SEL button on a pioneer remote?

The “SIGNAL SEL” button on the remote will toggle between analog and digital inputs (which is why I’m pretty confident that you can connect both), and you’d use that to try to get sound from both on the same input.
