Why is my Yamaha RX v1800 not powering on?
There is no apparent power to the unit. I have unplugged and let it it sit for a while and plugged back in. No joy. Is there anything else I can try? It was bought 17/12/07 so just out of its 2 yr warranty. Any thoughts what I should do or what it could be? Should I try for a warranty repair with Yamaha (given that it is only ‘just’ out)?
What to do if your Yamaha RX v671 won’t turn on?
Get a matching replacement at Jaycar if the current one looks burnt out or the wire inside the glass tube is clearly broken. Gently push the new fuse into place (with the power cord still unplugged!) by pressing the ends into the clips – not the glass middle – and see if it the receiver turns on okay.
